I left what moderate artistic talent I had behind when I graduated high school. During my last two years in school, I discovered that I had a hidden knack for prose.
Literature is the game--and I play video games. Since about the age of ten, playing video games has been a hobby in which I have been vigorously involved. It's difficult to find the time to get to writing(which I now do via Microsoft Word since I left High School), but I draw a considerable scope of inspiration from them. "Alan Wake" is one I am overtly fond of. I underwent a literary "awakening"(how ironic!), and began writing a novel. It's slow, and those "eureka!" moments come and go, but I hope to get it edited and published when I complete it, but also co-edited beforehand by a friend who cares about what I want to express through it.
Don't get me wrong, I am first and foremost writing for the joy of writing. The reflection of myself captured by it is merely a necessary byproduct.
